Private Clients
You don't need be sick to get better

Are you someone who wants to be the best?      If Yes...you are in the right spot!!

I AM GLAD YOU ARE HERE!!  Joel Pelland- PECI- offers private sessions to clients who want to take their game to the next level.  I work with high school, collegiate, and professional  athletes in all types of sports.  I use my clinical experience, education, and personal experience as a player and coach to help athletes reach their peak.  The physical aspect of the game is a big focus in our society...but it is the brain that controls everything.  If we are not doing our mental push ups daily or weekly we are losing an edge on our competition.  I want to help you get that edge.  I help athletes with developing the mental skills and tools they need to compete at the highest level;
  • Confidence
  • Focus
  • Mental Toughness
  • Concentration
  • Tactical Breathing
  • Self Talk
  • Awareness
  • Performance Anxiety
  • Imagery
  • Goal Setting
  • Controlling Emotions
  • Dealing with Failure
  • Recovering from Injury
  • Self-Worth
  • Stress Management
  • Motivation
  • Mindfulness
  • Affirmations
  • Perspective
  • Positivity and Optimism
to help get and keep that edge on your competition.

I will also walk you through peak performance training from a physical aspect as well.  Teaching you how nutrition, sleep, recreational drug use, hydration, and stress management impact your performance.  I will be on your team to help keep you on track with your goals and lifestyle.

In addition to mental training and peak performance training I am also able to help develop you into the leader you were meant to be.  Being trained by one of the top leadership teams in the world has given me the background and skills to help develop you into a quality leader for your team and for your future. Leadership skills are vital when it comes to team and personal success. These skills also transfer to the real world as a student, employee, boss, manager, etc. I will help you self reflect on the different aspect of leadership so that you can be successful on and off the court.

What Do Players have to say?

Matt Frawley

"The key takeaways I've gotten are how to break down what you're trying to achieve. Mr. Pelland has helped me realize that big goals have many small steps, and every one of those steps has a large amount of meaning.  He's helping understand that no matter what I do on and off the field, is helping me prepare for my future goals What a lot of people don't see, is the mental training that goes on behind the scenes to help them get where they are. Mr. Pelland is opening my brain to the mental side of the game which is just as important if not more important that the physical aspect. If you're looking to better your mental performance, understand who you really are as an athlete, and what you're capable of achieving, he is in fact your go to guy."
Matt Frawley- Pitcher-New York Yankees organization.

"Coach Pelland has for sure helped me improve my nutrition and mindset. He has helped me buy into myself and keep my attitude positive. This will allow me to become a better athlete, student, and person." ---2x National Champion Pole Vaulter and 2017-2018-AAU Junior Olympic Gold Medalist

"The thing that has helped me the most so far would have to be the visualization of executing my off speed. I've really worked on throwing visual innings like we discussed in our talks and see myself executing my secondary pitches, which has translated into bullpens.  I have also used pre pitch routines and using a focal point to concentrate and max my ability to stay present on every pitch." Nick Vichio- Pitcher- Baltimore Orioles Organization

"Off season" mental work?

"Off season" WHAT OFF SEASON!!?? Mental and lifestyle work are not only to be worked on in season.  Just as you lift weights to get stronger in the off season you must also work and stretch your mind to that it too is stronger when you season comes.
1. It's important to pay attention to feelings of enjoyment when you are in the off season.  This feeling is one that we want to try to reproduce in our season.
2. The off season is a great time to reflect and recognize what worked and didn't work during the season.  The off season is a great time to formulate a plan for the upcoming season.
3. Using different forms of Imagery and Mindfulness is a great way to train the brain how to respond when in season.
4. Improving optimism and how to handle challenges in the future.
5. Training like a champion isn't only an in season thing. Living like a champion is a lifestyle and it's important to have accountability and knowledge during the off season.
6. Building mental toughness for the upcoming season
7. Go through exercises that will help clear your mind as you enter into the season
8. Building confidence in yourself
9. Dealing with present stress so it doesn't carry into the season and into your performance
10. Setting short term and long term goals through the off season and into the season
